Wiltshire Police are investigating two burglaries in Chippenham and Corsham, where high-value jewellery was stolen.
A Wiltshire Police officer, DS Gareth Snoad, has been dismissed without notice after a hearing found his behaviour amounted to gross misconduct.
Two men, aged 46 and 35, have been arrested in connection with a burglary at Boots in Royal Wootton Bassett High Street.
