SIX people have been arrested following an attempted robbery at the O2 phone shop in Chippenham yesterday afternoon, 16th March 2025.
The incident happend at about 3.30pm when a gang of six targetted the shop in Borough Parade, Chippenham. Two members of the public sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Following a swift and coordinated response, six men have been arrested and taken to Melksham and Swindon custody where they will be questioned in relation to a conspiracy to commit robbery.
Nusret Arslan, 24, of East Avenue, Hayes, Hillingdon, Billy Gladdish, 27, of no fixed abode and Jason Hunte, 27, of Avondale Drive, Hayes, Hillingdon appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on March 18 and were remanded in custody.
Jesse Madika, 24, of Amersham Avenue, Edmonton, Enfield, appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court on March 18 and were remanded in custody.
Tyrike Rasgado, 22, of Deans Lane, Mill Hill, Edgware and Jaheim Thompson, 23, of no fixed abode also appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court on March 18 and were released on conditional bail.
All six are due to reappear at Swindon Crown Court on April 25.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "Wiltshire detectives have been working in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police Service in relation to this offence and previous similar offending across the south."
The investigation is ongoing, with a further update to be provided in due course.
