A worrying incident that happened in Calne last night, 12th March , is being investigated by Wiltshire Police who have released an appeal for witnesses.
At about 6.50pm reports were received that a 12-year-old and 15-year-old were walking across the recreation ground when two tall men, dressed in black and wearing balaclavas called out to them and then followed them.
The boys safely returned home, one on a bike and the other on a scooter but were shaken up.
The mother of one of the boys posted on Facebook last night: "My son and his friend were chased tonight at the Rec. Two men all in black, wearing balaclavas shouted 'Oi get here' and picked their pace up."
Sgt Mike Tripp says: "We appreciate this is a concerning incident and would urge anyone with information to get in touch.
"At the moment we do not know the full circumstances and we are keeping an open mind."
