Many residents of this town, like those of other towns, love to wax lyrical about how we should all support small local independent businesses, such as Blackberry Fruit and Veg, the small green grocers at the top of the High Street. Well talk is cheap, what we also need is action to match the words.
As no doubt many of you are aware, the A3102 Greenacre way, between the A4 and Honeysuckle Close, and the Beversbrook Road stretch between Stainer Road and Oxford Road, have a particular issue with regards to subsidence. I have been in contact with Highways at Wiltshire Council about this issue.
This is the beginning of a new feature in Calne News. Local councillors are invited to submit their own columns to be published under this section, giving them a wider platform to connect with the residents of Calne. This week's column has been written by Cllr Michael Hudston - Central Ward.
