A 15-year old boy from Calne has been arrested this morning following a police investigation into several cases of criminal damage to cars.

Police received a report on 1st September that the rear windscreen of a black Seat Ateca had been damaged in The Knapp between 2am and 5am.

The second incident happened in Horsebrook where the front windscreen of a Hyundai ix20 was damaged. Investigating officers soon established that damage had also been caused to a Mini Cooper and a Jaguar both parked nearby.

A 15-year old boy from Calne was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. He was taken into custody in Melksham but has since been released pending further enquiries.

Police are asking for any witnesses, or anyone with CCTV or dash cam in the areas affected to come forward.
