In the third of our 'Shop Local' articles we went for a wander down Phelps Parade and The Pippin...

Phelps Parade is where the main hustle and bustle of the town is. Calne Market takes place here every Friday and the Calne Springs Forward Craft and Gift market is held monthly.

You can 'Shop, Eat and Drink' with Two Hours Free Parking in the Calne Heritage Quarter throughout the year, funded by Calne Town Council.

 G & S Jewellers is a family run business offering  Gold and Silver Jewellery, servicing and repairs carried out in their own workshop, watches, rings, earrings and a whole range of gifts for all occasions.

They have some beautiful stock including some very reasonably priced fun earrings which would make the perfect stocking filler or 'thank you' gift.

The Calne Christian Bookshop have proudly served the local community since the early 80's with Bibles, Christian books and cards, and have slowly grown from one room into six which now includes a huge range of Bibles, Commentaries, Biographies, Christian fiction, study books,  plus children and youth materials. Alongside the books, the shop also stocks a lovely range of greetings cards and gifts.

They told us: "Every Christmas we have an abundance of wonderful stock, from cards, gifts, adult and children's books, nativity scenes, advent calendars and candles, 2021 calendars and much more. We hope you can shop locally with us over Christmas and other businesses to help the economy of Calne to thrive over the festive period and into 2021.

Expressions Cards And Gifts opened in Phelps Parade in 2009. Hana Garrett runs the Calne branch whilst her Auntie runs the Devizes store.

 

As with many other shops, Expressions were forced to close for both lockdowns but they are open again now and ready to help you with your festive needs.

 

Expressions stock a large variety of cards for all occasions. Hana said: "We pride ourselves in selling quality products at a competitive price. We have a fab range of Wiltshire cards. "

 

Also in store you will find a great selection of gifts including Tatty Teddy items, soft toys, candles, Pots of Dreams and plaques.

 

Hana told us: "We provide a friendly and helpful service and over the years have got to know our customers!

CM3 stock so much it is difficult to know where to start. Amongst their vast stock you will find toys, stationary, hardware, decorations, partyware and DIY items. They even have garden decorations, bird foods and pet supplies.
