Elite Ladies KickboxingAt a time when we are all looking for ways to cut back on spending and make every penny count, many small businesses are finding it harder and harder to keep their doors open.

Repeated Covid lockdowns and now the cost-of-living crisis have not made it easy for businesses to thrive. But Elite Ladies Kickboxing is bucking the trend and proving that it doesn't have to be all doom and gloom.

Elite Ladies Kickboxing founder, Tim Beynon said: “I have always loved martial arts and it has long been my dream to share the benefits of kickboxing with as wide an audience as possible.

"I started the business not long before the first lockdown and we really had to work extra hard to ensure the business survived. We moved all our classes online and then trained outside when restrictions were eased. I have an amazing team of instructors who were great at coming up with creative, socially-distanced training ideas!

"The cost-of-living crisis has added further challenges for us but this makes our recent accomplishment even more special as it proves we have so many amazing students who recognise the value of kickboxing for both their mental and physical health and well-being.

"At a time when many of us are struggling financially it is easy to understand how health and fitness start to take a back seat. But when we see our ladies having fun in class and celebrating their grading successes it really motivates us to keep going and to find ways to support people however we can.”

A recent Elite Ladies Kickboxing Christmas Party saw over 200 students coming together in Chippenham to share some festive training, fun, games and food.

Alicia Sharp is one student who is really glad she took up kickboxing with Elite Ladies Kickboxing. She attended the Christmas party and said: “It was so nice and emotional seeing people’s achievements and being recognised for their efforts. Elite Ladies Kickboxing changes lives!”

The company has big plans for the year ahead and is not planning to stop at 650 students. Tim wants to expand the services they offer and has recently started junior kickboxing classes and ladies-only dance classes.
