WILTSHIRE Council Public Protection Service has issued an update on the stray dog they found in North Wiltshire at the beginning of July.
When Dog wardens found the Dachshund, now named 'Daphne', she was not in good health and needed to undergo veterinary treatment and monitoring.
Daphne did have a microchip but unfortunately it didn't lead to any owners.
In an update issued today they say: "We can confirm that we have had no contact from Daphne’s owners and she is now in the care of our working partners at Bath Cats and Dogs Home
"She has suffered a spinal injury and is receiving all the veterinary care and attention she needs, currently undergoing rehabilitation work to help her back on her feet.
"She is starting to regain the use of her back legs and is loving the care and attention she is receiving from all the fantastic people looking after her.
"She is currently still not for rehoming whilst she is having this ongoing care and assessment."
