Calne Running Club has been in operation for over 30 years and is the longest standing running club in the town.

For the last nine years, husband and wife duo, Simon and Denise Nott have been managing the club, having taken over the reins from Simon's father.  Simon is Chairman and coach and Denise is Head Coach.

Denise told us: "We are both passionate about running and enjoy getting people fit and healthy in the local community. Running can be such a boost both physically and mentally and can help people with confidence issues, mental health problems and is instrumental in helping people make new friends locally.

"We have held an annual beginner’s course every year for a number of years and have seen hundreds of people complete their first 5k after taking part."

The 8 week course will begin on Tuesday 25th April at Beversbrook Sports Facility and is open to everyone.

The course has been incredibly well received in the past and has been described as 'life changing, if not life saving' in some cases. Simon and Denise ensure that the course is fun and engaging and through the duration of the programme you will become fully engaged with their friendly family of members who will offer encouragement and support.
