The parents of Ellie Gould are due to meet with the Home Secretary today.
Ellie was stabbed to death at her home in Calne in May. Last month 17-year-old Thomas Griffiths pleaded guilty to the murder. He will be sentenced on the 8th November.
Ellie's parents will be meeting Priti Patel, the Home Secretary later today to discuss tougher sentencing for knife crime.
Yesterday, Ellie's friend George Strevens, took part in the Chippenham Half Marathon raising funds for Ellie's favourtie charity Riding For The Disabled Association.
On his fundraising page George said: 'I have chosen to raise money for this charity because sadly one of my best friends Eleanor Rose Gould was taken from us on the 3rd of May 2019 at the age of 17. Eleanor had a passion for horse riding, being a great rider herself, and always supported the RDA. In her name I want to continue that support and hopefully make her proud as well as many others close to her and the RDA.'
George's efforts have raised an incredible £5758.
