A Calne man has been disqualifed from driving after pleading guilty to drug driving.
Daniel Garfield, 32, of Juniper Close was stopped on the morning of Sunday 17th May 2021 at Cottles Barton, Staverton and tested positive for drugs.
He appeared before Swindon Magistrates Court yesterday, 19th January where he was disqualifed from driving for three years he was also fined £225, ordered to pay £250 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and pay a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
Roads policing officer Luke Hobbs said: “It is never acceptable to drive while under the influence of drugs. Driving whilst under the influence can create a false confidence which can lead to an increase in risk-taking behaviour, which puts your life and the lives of others in danger.”
