CALNE Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage to help them investigate an incident in Oxford Road at Halloween.

Calne news policeA firework was thrown at a Mazda MX5 which was parked in Oxford Road, just before 9pm on 31st October.

The firework exploded, causing deep scratches to the bonnet expected to be approximately £2,000 worth of damage.

Police say enquiries have been ongoing and they now believe the offender was travelling as a passenger in a white BMW 1 Series hatchback vehicle when the firework was thrown.

Two vehicles are believed to have driven past the scene directly behind the suspect and it is possible they may have information which could assist.

A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing to these drivers, or anyone who was in the Oxford Road area of Calne around this time on October 31, who may have a dash cam fitted to their vehicle, to get in touch."
