Kingston House Care Home in Calne is hosting a Christmas celebration for the local community on Friday 10 th December 6pm – 8pm.
The celebrations will include a variety of festivities: local singing group The Harmonics will perform; mince pies and mulled wine will be on offer with donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, and Santa himself is set to pay a visit!
The event is free and open to all- adults and children- and will be a celebration of community spirit and friendships between the home and those in the wider Calne area.
The local community has really come together, especially during the pandemic, and residents and colleagues at Kingston House would love to show their appreciation.
During the various periods of lockdown, the home’s residents and colleagues were not able to get out and about into the local area as much as they would have liked. Now that restrictions are easing, Home Manager Catherine Beswick is eager to extend the hand of friendship from Kingston House to the local community.
Catherine said: “We already have strong ties with the local community, however for a long period of time we were unable to maintain these connections. We hope that this event will be a great way to bring the community together to celebrate with our residents and colleagues.”
The Christmas Extravaganza will take place at Kingston House Care Home (Lansdowne Crescent (East), Derry Hill, Calne, Wiltshire SN11 9NP) on 10 th December from 6pm until 8pm. No booking is necessary, simply turn up and enjoy!
