Business is booming for Calne-based website firm Black Nova Designs
Award-winning Wiltshire website design and hosting firm Black Nova Designs is pleased to report that business is strong despite the uncertainty and economic fear caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.
Black Nova Designs, which was founded in 2012 in Swindon and moved into their Calne office in 2018, offers affordable and approachable IT support for all sizes of business. The company is run by husband and wife duo Danielle and Kyle Holmes and they have a raft of good news to share at the moment!
New business has surged throughout lockdown, with a spike in enquiries for new website design and hosting projects. Business owners and entrepreneurs are keen to pivot their brands to open up new sales channels during lockdown and start new projects to take advantage of current opportunities. The high level of demand for websites and tweaks to existing designs means that Black Nova Designs has actually expanded during the lockdown with the addition of a new permanent team member. Now with six staff members, the Black Nova team is ready to offer their services to more businesses looking to navigate the new way of living and reach their customers.
Black Nova Designs has also gained Cyber Essentials accreditation during lockdown to boost the services it can offer customers. Cyber Essentials is a government-backed scheme which aims to give organisations the skills and knowledge to guard against cyber-attack. The expertise the team has gained will be passed on to clients and contacts, ensuring they can use the internet for business whilst limiting the risk of cyber-attack. Cyber-attacks have risen by 43% during lockdown as online criminals and fraud gangs aim to take advantage of the increase in home workers.
Black Nova Designs aims to serve each and every customer as though they are a member of the family and they have worked hard to secure a range of technology partnerships. The firm is an authorised Microsoft reseller, qualified Ubiquiti WiFi specialists, ESET antivirus software resellers as well as many more, to ensure they can continue to service customers in the fast-paced technology world. Experienced hardware technicians are on hand for laptop and PC repairs as well as hard drive and WiFi installations.
IT providers are classified as key workers by the government, so the Black Nova Designs team were able to continue working throughout lockdown, albeit whilst working from home. Most of the team are parents so work had to be fitted around home schooling and childcare, but Danielle and Kyle are incredibly proud of the high customer service levels that were maintained.
Director and founder Danielle Holmes comments:
“Here at Black Nova Designs we were as worried as everyone else when Covid-19 began to impact the UK, but I’m so pleased to be able to share so much good news just a few months down the line. Our work bringing new websites online during the outbreak will also have helped to drive revenue generation to Wiltshire and the Cotswolds as well across the rest of the UK. I’m so proud of the team and would like to thank all our customers too!”
